Good. London: Privately Printed at the Chiswick Press, 1877. First edition, 1877. Scarce reference covering an impressive span of printing history. Blue cloth with gilt spine lettering, frontis engraving of a printing press, 149 pages plus colophon. Includes the engraved bookplate of Edvardi [Edward] Henschel, M.D. with additional provenance provided on a neatly written note on verso of the front free endpaper. Old ink spot to the front cover, other cover soil, edgewear, half inch surface tear to front joint fabric, good hinges, firm text block, clean pages with the top 1-2 mm of many pages darkened, nowhere near the text. Possibly rebound, but no later than late 19th or early 20th century. The provenance note: 1st and only edit. Privately printed. Is extremely scarce & very valuable. From the library of Mr. C. P.
