He is known primarily for his crime novels featuring Inspector Harry Hole, who features in this novel. The Norwegian title of this novel translates along the lines of "armoured heart", which is what Harry Hole gains by his experiences during this case, in which he investigates serial killings in Oslo. This novel was first translated into English in 2011 by Don Bartlett. In publisher's original cloth binding, with original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is in immaculate condition. Exceptional plot development, collage and description of locations, continuing to expand the relationship of the tormento mind of Harry Hole with his detective role; besides presenting
a new very frightening villain with shocking ways of murder. Beyond thrilling.

too many twists
Too many twists and turns in this story. Too many little incidents you need to recall 100 pages after they appear. I thought the ending came at least two times before the last page.

Good Novel, But , , ,
Nesbo's novel is well-written, engrossing at times, but not a book I would recommend as "necessary" reading.

Totally Hooked
This is now my 6th Harry Hole in a row. I can't stop and fortunately there is a 7th already published in English as my Norwegian is nonexistent!
