...the condition of the book lead me to believe that it had spent time in a foxhole during World War II; however, the book was intact and a fun read Somehow the book found its way to America via an English library. Eric Newby allows you to visualize being aboard one of the tall ships, and he has a good sense of humor, to boot! I will give the book to a friend that enjoys everything British.
