No matter if you're a comic book reader or just an general reader, "The Last Days Of Krypton" is a worthy read. Prequel or origin stories are a delicate thing. Known then that this title breaks new ground in the visualization of the world of Krypton. I won't go into plot points or characters. We ALL know the basics of the Superman legend. Kevin J. Anderson creates a lush & vivid world without being too specific that is comparible to his work in the 'Dune' universe. With a somewhat loose style, the 'breathing room' KJA creates allows this title to be easily enjoyed & let's the imagination run wild. After reading a library copy, I bought a hard covered edtion that I had KJA sign for me at a recent book tour signing. That's how much I enjoyed it.
