The Halls Creek and Alice Springs uplifts followed. Triassic and later Mesozoic cover sequences formed a veneer over these basins. Chapter 1 introduces the geology of the Kimberley Craton. Chapter 2 presents the geology of the Purnululu National Park and the Bungle Bungle Range. Chapter 3 offers a field excursion through the Spring Creek Track of the western part of the national park.
