Another solid addition to the Parker series! If you know Richard Stark's series of books about master thief Parker, then you know what you're in for: crooks, cons and double crosses galore. This installment fills out Parker's underworld connection Joe Sheer, and although I have yet to read beyond this title in the series (this is the sixth book), I suspect it lays the groundwork the novels to come. Still good in it's own right, it did not thrill me as much as "The Hunter" or "The Score" had, which is why it loses a star on my rating. However, it's still fantastic and highly recommended to fans of Parker.
