Brown cloth boards are very nice with silver lettering on spine. Has hundreds of black & white photos. From dust jacket flap: The Irish Civil War began on the 28th June 1922 and ended on the 24th may 1923. The precipitating factor was the ratification of the treaty between Great Britain and the fledgling Irish state which called for an oath of allegiance to the king, a governor general appointed by the crown and the partition of six counties in Northern Ireland.
