There are so few references available for the genus Iris, that even this hopelessly outdated book is still very useful. Although modern information, such as chromosome counts and newer nomenclature are missing, the information is still worthy of having on the bookshelf of any Iris enthusiast. It certainly puts our growing knowledge of these plants in a historic perspective.
