Seller's Description:
1st edition. Hardcover. Publisher's green cloth with black lettering and vignette to front, very slightly bumped at ends and corners, with clean endpapers and pages bar an occasional fox spot to the outer fore-edge. A nice example of the first impression of the second of Wodehouse's works to feature Jeeves, and the first to feature Jeeves and Bertie Wooster, and these 18 stories include 'The Great Sermon Handicap' (later produced as a stand-alone story), and also introduce such memorable characters as Bingo Little, Honoria Glossop and, most inimitable of all, Aunt Agatha.

This is an unappreciated treasure. I can't say I've ever laughed out loud at any text I've read until now. Maybe it's what I'm reading, but P.G. Wodehouse is a genius. This is my first experience with him, but certainly not my last. I'm a fan! Much needed literary break from the general gunk and "pots of poison" in the news and on the tube. Treat yourself to some Jeeves, Bingo and Bertie!
