I have ready several books on cats and this didn´t even come close. This one (mine had a different cover but is the same book) was run of the mill. There´s no really new data that I haven´t read before, and the topics that should be covered on a HUGE basis aren´t. (For example, the author hits on declawing and it´s obscenity and says there´s more info in another chapter. That´s frustrating and not helpful when I´m in a different chapter!! Also, the poisonous nature of onions is BARELY discussed.) I didn´t find this book very informative for the semi-informed, but if you´ve never read anything about cats and never had one as an adult and never really gotten to know any, then this is a good beginning, but only that: a beginning. If you do choose to buy this book, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don´t stop here. There are much better choices!!!!
