Small dark stain to small part of top edge of pages near spine, and along the top third of the spine/gutter. Illustrated with two fold-out maps that have minor discoloration. Originally printed in 1884, this is a reprint from 1909. Howes C174. Includes the General's report on the Fort Phil Kearney Massacre, with details of the fate of the victims. Carrington's wife wrote AB-SA-RA-KA HOME OF THE CROWS.
