NF in VG+ jacket. Octavo. Black cloth covered boards and spine with shiny silver foil lettering on the spine. Book has a very faint bump at the tail of the spine and a nearly unnoticable trace of rubbing at the extreme tips of the two lower outside corners, both of which are still sharp. White endpapers. Binding is straight and tight. Pages are all clean, white, and crisp. 276 pages. Dust Jacket-has light rubbing at the head and tail of the spine and at the very tips of the four outside corners. Light rub along the outside edge of the front cover. 1/3" closed tear in the head of the spine and a 1/8" closed tear in the upper edge of the rear cover. Tight and clean-some minor wear, but still an attractive copy. Huysmans probably best known for his decadant novel A Rebours (translated alternately as Against Nature or Against the Grain).
