The blow would have fallen, had not a powerful hand almost instantaneously grasped the youth's arm, and in another moment Glum had dashed him to the ground. This was the first time, since he had been in the family, that the pilot was heard to laugh. Almost before the brothers had recovered from their surprise, Glum had carried off the culprit, and fastened him into the fish-house, from which he knew escape was impossible. CHAPTER XIII. ESCAPED.
