The book by Michael Pillsbury is essential reading for anyone who wants to understand what China is actually doing to become the number 1 superpower on the planet. When an author can admit - in print - how blind he was to China's 100 year marathon strategy, the reader can take his information very seriously. The book is very well written, with multiple notes revealing sources and states the case in language most people can understand. The revelations can be shocking and rather upsetting but with the knowledge provided, the American public now has solid ammunition for demanding that the US do everything to stall and prevent China's march. Pillsbury and his colleagues may have been naive but we do not have to be.
