Very useful
This is a great manual for osteology students and anyone else that wishes to learn about their skeleton. The book is simple to read, and the chapters are intuitively divided by body sections - head, spine, torso, arms, etc. Each section has numerous high-quality black and white photographs of actual bones. Each of these have easy to read labels for the various parts of the bone with corresponding descriptions in the text. Finally, it includes a couple of more advanced chapters about bone growth and the discerning of age, sex, and health of an individual by the shape of the bones. The only fault that I could find is that the index is rather sparse for such a detailed text, meaning that it is hard to find the page for a particular bone part if all you know is the name and not the part of the body it is on.
