Fair in Fair jacket. 77 pages (complete). Signed by both Chris Mann and Julia Skeen (dated: Grahamstown 1997) on the frontispage. The book has been bent during storage. This, however, is the predominant consequence of storage. The dustjacket is comfortable, creased and worn from handling and storage. It is scuffed and gently marked. The boards, aside from the bending, are smart, firm and mildly marked about the edges from storage. Within, the pages are clean, clear, bright, healthy, vibrant and vivacious. fk.

Fair in Poor jacket. Signed by Author(s)77 pages. Painting-poems by Chris Mann. Illustrations by Julia Keen. Most warmly inscribed on the frontispage by both Mann and Skeen, dated Grahamstown, 1997. Published by ISEA (Institute for Study of English in Africa), Grahamstown. Damp damaged. This charming, pretty, celebratory book has been subjected to inconsiderate storage. The dj front cover is much marked, but the illustration is energetically colourful. There is a small puncture mark to the spine dj seam near the foot. The back cover has been subjected to damp and is stuck to the blue cover beneath. Nonetheless the printing is clear and friendly. Inside, the contents are in beautiful condition until page 67 whereon the damping takes effect with wrinkling and staining. The book, in general is vibrant and joyful. fk.
