This book gives you everything you need to know on what it means to be a highly-sensitive person -- whether you're a person living as an HSP or have a friend or family member who is.
It's a definite must-read for those seeking to be enlightened and empowered on the issues facing HSPs.

How to reframe
If the title of this book speaks to you as in - that's me - do not hesitate, buy it. For a long time I picked this book up in the store and then put it back down. Judging it silly I should single myself out like this, I was just being dramatic. The truth is, now that I've read it, I may still see my reactions to be considered unnaturally heightened. However, the book gave me some fuller understanding of what makes me 'dramatic'. You will be able to see how and why you've done some things, been judged harshly because "that's not how everybody does it". I bet those are familiar words. Self acceptance of a lot that may have been personally confusing or general reactions from the outside world's acceptance, will both change, because the book will show you a variety of ways to alter how you view yourself. I think it goes without saying, the changes are all to indicate strengths or how to deal with what might be not so strong in the common definition, nor would you want it to be. Your sensitivity can be delicate and fragile and can be only an advantage. After reading, I stopped denying this was an aspect of me I could claim. It's also not self-help in the general sense, no lists of ten top problems you face at work. The author, Elaine Aron, Ph D did much study and investigation to combine established facts with what she observed, then adding the result of her investigations. The information is not typical fluff or a quick fix, or a fix at all, rather acceptance and utilization of what is.
