Seller's Description:
5.5"x8.5" First appeal to contemporary humanity; With ticket #00362; This is the earliest reprint of Gurgief's self-published appeal to join his commune outside Paris; Blue textured paper wraps with gold titles; A very good copy with minor verticle covers folds; 87 pages.
On page 50 of G.I. Gurdjieff's Life is real only then, when '"I am", a passage concerning The Herald of Coming Good written on April 2nd, 1935 by the very author states thusly:
"If you have not read this book entitled The Herald of Coming Good, then thank the circumstance and do not read it."
This was written three years after its publishing, which was originally a one-thousand copy pamphlet for his followers and those who were acquainted with his teachings. Although these days we do not have a respect for the dead equal to our ancestors, if you should find the work of G.I. Gurdjieff, may his memory be blessed, of value and with shared respect, it would be most upright of you to heed his message, and pass this work over, for whatever profit the current or past publishers are making from it.
