Leisure Books had a good thing going when it was publishing mass-market paperback westerns, because they were bringing out books by authors which had not been in the marketplace since their original publication, usually in hardback. And since a lot of the libraries have gotten rid of their "old" books, these are hard to find. The Gun Tamer by Wayne C. Lee is such a book. For those of us who like "traditional" western fare, this book has it all--peace-loving tenderfoot who walks right into the middle of a war that has already claimed his uncle, leaving him a ranch to run. There's a girl too, on the other side in the fight! If you want an entertaining, enjoyable read, buy this book, by one of the "unsung" writers of the west. I think you'll love it.
