Great Women Artists
As a reader of comics, I have an opportunity
to read some great stories and get drawn into
some great art work that brings forth the full
impact of the storyline. When doing a little
research, I have discovered that a number
of women were able to compete in a
male dominated field.
Trina Robbins book takes this opportunity
to write and talk about a number of female
artists who were women. One such artist
was Jackie Ormes. Not only was she a
female - she was also a Black women.
Jackie did great work and touched upon
a number of contemporary issues creat-
ing a large following.
This is only one story that you can read
about and she the variety of artists that
did work in the past and women that
are still doing it at the present time.
This book is an story of inspiration for
young aspiring female artists for the
future to follow their passion.
This book is a delight to read and a
delight to see the artistry contained
on each of the pages.
A job well done.
