More of a nod to American and European folk traditions as opposed to the more contemporary sound found on previous efforts. Energy on the whole is more balanced (the cynical would say "static"). Songs in and of themselves are delightful -- Larsen is all over the place with the flute -- and Sutherland's fiddle churns out some killer Irish reels.
