More nature songwriting and a little less soul mark this slick 1987 effort by trio Metamora. The inclusion of synthesizers playing sweet droning sounds underneath the tunes makes this release more in the "new age" category than their previous efforts. More of a nod to American and European folk traditions as opposed to the more contemporary sound found on previous efforts. Energy on the whole is more balanced (the cynical would say "static"). Songs in and of themselves are delightful -- Larsen is all over the place with the flute -- and Sutherland's fiddle churns out some killer Irish reels.
