Ostensibly written by Judass son, Benjamin, and following the style of the Gospels, this re-creation is a provocative, riveting, plausible, and controversial collaboration between Jeffrey Archer and Francis J. This is certainly a departure from Archer's usual style, but a worthy book nevertheless. Benjamin, Judas's son, makes the argument that his father got a bad rap. Solidly researched, with plenty of scholarly notes, the Gospel is also very creatively packaged...complete with Bible-style columns and bound-in fabric bookmark.

Good little book for insight and approach to Judas which is not typical but which is certainly pausible. The gospel's approach to Judas which was written many years after the fact has the knack of defining a person by the worse thing he ever did and not giving a picture of what the total person was like with both good and weak.
