This CD has a cross-section of mostly hot dance band sides by British bands of the 1926-1935 period. Engineer Robert Parker's ability to give vintage music the sound of stereo is very much in evidence. There are 16 different orchestras heard on one song apiece, including Jack Hylton, Fred Elizalde ("Singapore Sorrows"), Ambrose, Billy Cotton ("Somebody Stole My Gal"), Lew Stone, Ray Noble, and Billy Merrin's Commanders.
