Geology of Iceland
This text is a comprehensive, detailed discussion of Icleand's geology, from the basics of the rock strata to the specifics of Iceland's current topography. There are two problems, however. The first is that one almost needs to be a geologist to follow the text. There is no glossary of terms, for instance. Second, unless the reader has intimate knowledge of the geography of Iceland he will need a very good map, with very good index, to know the whereabouts of locations being discussed. Also, the translation is at times a bit skewed, although this is not a serious problem to understanding.
An excellent text by an author who really knows his subject -- but a bit difficult to read.
