Narrowing the focus of the first volume from L.A. and San Fran to just the Bay Area, The Funky Precedent, Vol. 2 is another crucial compilation of independent rappers, producers, DJ's, and even a band. It kicks off with a stellar track (and ultra-tight production) by the underground supergroup Skhool Yard, and goes forth balancing rap tracks with some excellent turntablist joints, including Live Human's "Lagoona's Bliss Elephant Mix" and DJ Vinroc's "3ThaHardWay."
