It is hard to believe we have now published our 2nd book; an amazing accomplishment! It contains over 200 creative works from 51 poets from countries across the globe! Many poets in this Tome are familiar with the popular book Dark Night of the Soul: Out of the Darkness and into the Light by Michael Mirdad. With Michael's inspiration, and a sprinkling of divine guidance the gateway for a book of poetry on this important theme opened. This is what we now present to you, with love. I have met several of the poets in person, the vast majority I know via online through my Forest of Song poetry group. This is a fantastic gathering of like-minded souls, who are loving and spiritual. Some believe we may even have known each other in a different lifetime, as we are so connected. Many of these people are new to writing poems, but with the encouragement of the rest of us, they have become master poets. Lives are changing! Our 1st book, Forest of Friends: The Forest of Song Facebook Anthology, was the brainchild of poet Ronda Mullins. Simply put the dark night is a time, times, many of us experience in our lives when we feel hopeless, depressed, confused, scared; there can seem no end in sight to our pain; even a seeming insignificant event can give rise to a dark night. Main theme of the poems is that these feelings are only temporary; With trust we will eventually see a light appearing out of the darkness. At present on the planet there seems to be much division and anger. With advances in social media we are more exposed to witnessing violence than the days when newspapers were the main source of information. However, there is also a healthy spiritual movement sweeping the planet, with those who realize that love is the answer to so many of our problems. Many of the poets experienced their own dark night or have been through a "dark night" with someone else. They were able to get through it to the other side and our hope is that these poems can help readers who are lost in their own dark night. Even if all seems well this book will shine a light on the suffering of those around you, and these poems will bring comfort. As a team we co-created this masterpiece that is now in your hands. The amazing Graham Hill from Scotland has been at the helm through every step of the way. We are eternally grateful to him. He was supported on his journey by Obair Croi Spiritual Centre in Glasgow. Julian Mann from England, who, along with Graham and myself, are the 3 moderators of my Forest of Song Facebook group. In this group of outstanding poets, there are posts almost every day from members, showcasing their wonderful works. In the Artist Edition Terry Lee and Becky Parker captured the essence of Forest of Song Poetry through wonderful one-liner and haiku images. Linda Whitson Perry has once again painted the brilliant book cover for us. Finally, Bear N Lora Lee for untiring support with the promotion of this book through his wonderful video creations. Keep this book by your bedside and refer to it often. You never know when you may need powerful inspiration to help you through the darkness. Roger Blakiston, Founder of Forest of Song Group
