If you are a someone who takes your historical fiction serious then Jack Whyte is your man. I've read a number of books featuring William Wallace but this is the one, I feel, comes closest to getting it right. One caution...Whyte likes to hear himself talk; it's worth the patience!

careful
i have not read this book yet, but as i am very familiar with jack whyte's work and know it will be great. however, Forest Laird and Rebel, the books i ordered, are the same book. one is a british publication and has a different title. so, i ordered two of the same books!
