Great book by an artist that influenced me when growing up, my mom had the calendar in 1978 of The Lord of the Rings paintings by him and his brother Greg. I eventually got a copy of their book by Ian Summers, which is still great, a lot of that work is repeated in this book. The book is a little oversized, the printing is nice, the images are very crisp, and more importantly, the artist himself gives many insights as to what inspires him, things that he does with lighting and props, using models, and other things to set up the stage and develop composition of his works, uses of various colors for different effects, Etc. very pleased with this title, I highly recommend it for anyone involved in graphic arts, and especially realist and/or fantasy art painting
