I have read all of Alys Clare's books except for her new ones.
If you like books that give a peak into past times in English history, then Alys Clare's books are for you.
She combines a mystery story with accurate accounts of how people lived at the time. I love that she includes the use of herbs to heal instead of medicines.
I don't know how else to say this, but she is an excellent writer with a great different mysteries that she has written several books about. I enjoyed each book which is not always the case with a prolific writer.
I would suggest reading the books in order. Several of the characters have a place in each book and it is helpful to know their past while reading.
