Not Stated. Good Only. Two volumes of The Every Day Book by William Hone. Both volumes are illustrated throughout. With one hundred and seventy engravings to volume I and three hundred and twenty engravings to volume II A collection of curious information on manners, antiquities and various other subjects. Edited, written and published by William Hone, an English writer, satirist and bookseller. His court battle against the government in 1817 marked a turning point with regards the fight for British press freedom. Similar to his Every Day Book he also published the Table Book and the Year Book. In half calf bindings. Externally, worn particularly to the paper covered boards and to the spines. Rubbing to the joints and extremities also. Loss to the head of the spine to volume II and to the head of the spine to volume I. Crack to the backstrip to volume I. Rear hinge to volume II is tender. Both hinges to volume I are tender. Prior owner's signature to the recto of front free endpaper. Internally, both volumes are firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with some spots to the first and last few pages. Good Only.
