The Ethical Slut provides an interesting and intriguing alternative to conventional lifestyle of couples living together and making love only to each other "until death do us part". Dossie Easton and Catherine A. Liszt suggest us to break the chains of such "narrow-minded" attitude to love, sex, marriage, family life etc. by finding an additional partner - or two or three ... - without feeling any guilt. The book is in my opinion good enough to provide an initial "push" for a couple to start thinking about an alternative way of life beyond social conventions and restrictions. (Even such thinking is definitely good to enrich sexual life!) Though, the final step of making the whole idea of polyamory (or open relationship or however you call it) come true is still far away from the text in the book. More advices how to start such a lifestyle would be definitely useful - also from male and not only from female perspective.

Not Just about Sex
This book is not just about sex. I read this book years ago and just recently revisited it. What I realized when I did so is that I have unknowingly but fortuitously adopted some of the philosophies. This book goes beyond who to have sex with and when to avoid that oh so awful label of "slut" and into how you should treat yourself. Respecting your own values and not letting others tell you what is right for you. Not denying your feelings because someone else says they are stupid or inappropriate. A wonderful read for any sexual creature, which is all of us.
