We all have 'characters' in our lives. Learning to develop our talents and face challenges together as a team, takes courage. When lightning strikes Gloria's desk, her artistic tools inside become energized. They are alive! After dancing on the desk, flying through the air, Brushy Sue, a paint brush, meets Stretch, a ruler, Rubbie, an eraser with an attitude, and Stubbie, a pencil with an imagination. More 'characters' continue to energize the chard desk until they realize Gloria has gone on vacation. How will Gloria respond when she finds her tools alive...energized? They do not want her to faint. They devise a plan to present her with their piece of art to explain what happened when lightning struck the desk. Then, perhaps, she will not be "skeerd". This imaginary story is exciting and refreshingly innocent. We are challenged not to compare ourselves with others or their talents. Appreciating our own uniqueness develops our strength and character. Accepting the 'characters' in our lives instead of bullying them will energize our lives. After all, we are each an important part of our energized family.
