Original rejointed cover, a blue hardback with with a gilt decorative stamp and a blindstamped border on the front cover, and gold lettering on the backstrip. The cover is in fair condition, with scuffing to the corners and the edges of both covers and the top, bottom and edges of the backstrip. The are a few minor marks on the covers, and the backstrip is dulled with dirt due to shelving. The binding remains firm and intact throughout the pageblock, and the pageblock is top edge gilt. The text is in good condition, with no annotations, foxing, or other significant markings. The pages are slightly browned with age towards the edges. There is a bookplate signifying ownership inside the front cover. This book has hardback covers. Ex-library, In fair condition, suitable as a study copy. No dust jacket.
