Fortunate to be hired right away South-Central Bell. Married Cathy Kimberlin on December 31,1969. That next spring I had the idea of coaching boys' baseball. Do not know why I never had the desire for that at any time in my life. Decided to go to Pinson Valley Youth Association, where my brother and I played from ages twelve through sixten, for me; my brother was two years younger. Previously played at Trussville from eight through eleven. I was aware most parks had sign-ups and drafts by the second Saturday in March.
