THIS SINGLE-PERSPECTIVE, ONENESS THEOLOGICAL Thesis was written with the sole objective of providing Biblical truth, better understanding and clarity, as well as Divine-revelation to the entire Christian community regarding a somewhat controversial subject matter-The Doctrine of Tithing. The purpose for using such wording-somewhat controversial-in my professional opinion, lies in the fact that there are two (2) groups of individuals that are not properly applying sound Biblical truth. The first group of individuals have unfortunately become victims of Christian denominations that teach and adhere to a "form of godliness", teaching the false doctrine of "Sowing a Financial Seed", which causes these victimized Christians, then, to deny the sound Biblical principle of Tithing altogether. The second group of individuals are choosing to remain ignorant of The Doctrine of Tithing, teaching and adhering to a "form of godliness" by wrongly stating that Tithing is not a Biblical mandate for the Church today. Now, in achieving this objective, I have chosen to utilize an in-depth approach of Scripture (i.e., chiefly the KJV and AMP [but also the NLT and NIV]). In short, I have provided several Scriptures (Old Testament as well as New Testament alike) that will aid in the gaining of complete understanding to this highly misunderstood and somewhat debatable Biblical subject matter. With this said, I would like to submit the following Thesis as the central assertion of this theological paper: Despite what Christianity (in general) affirms, the Apostolic Doctrinal stand of the Church today regarding Tithing is to be viewed as a sound Biblical mandate that ought to be adhered to by all individuals who call themselves a Christian, whether Oneness or Orthodoxy. The general Presupposition, then, rests solely upon the following Claim: The Doctrine of Tithing is a New Testament Biblical principle that is carried-over from the initial Old Testament Biblical mandate, which is clearly as well as plainly observed within the Book of Genesis, Chapter 4 (via The Doctrine of Continuationism). Now, in doing my own Biblical research, I have come to find much error with reference to any viewpoint that is held contrary to the sound Biblical teaching of Tithing, Giving, and Offerings. With this said, contrary to standard expository writing guidelines, it is my professional opinion that this has occurred due to a lack of Biblical understanding as well as faulty Biblical research on the part of numerous 21st-Century clergy-causing, unfortunately, improper hermeneutical and exegetical Apostolic Doctrinal teaching regarding Tithing. By the way, this Single-perspective, Oneness Theological Argument will be presented from a purely Apostolic Doctrinal perspective-God's perspective. Now, as you read through this Theological Thesis, I ask that you sincerely pray-seeking after The Wisdom of God-asking God to unveil His truth, and to provide complete understanding of this profound subject matter. But most importantly, to reveal the spiritual significance of Tithing as being a sound Biblical principle for the Church today, as commonly referenced from The Old Testament within Malachi 3:8-12.
