And tho' he was never higher advanced than to be a Suffragan Bishop, yet he assisted as a Bishop at the Consecration of no less than Fourteen Bishops in the Reigns of King Henry VIII. So that there can be no Dispute as to him. Of Hodgekin Suffragan of Bedford I shall have further occasion to speak afterwards-(c) And for Henry Holbeach Bishop of Lincoln, he was consecrated Suffragan Bishop of Bristol (before a Diocefan See was there erected ) March 24, 1537-8, by John Hilsey Bishop of Rochester, Hugh Latimer Bishop of Worcester, and Robert Parsevi Bishop of St. Afaph, Nine Years before the Death of King Henry VIII. and the Romanists have never questioned the Consecration of any Bishops in that Reign.
