This is a very well written book for those who enjoy the history of science and medicine and especially the lives of those who contribute to it. I had heard of Banting and Best but did not know what their contributions to the discovery of insulin was. For those of us who prescribe insulin on a regular basis it is fascinating to know the story as to how it was discovered.
