Since the age of five, Shain has been seeing and hearing things that others in town don't, and the experiences intensify after the death of her mother. Terrifying things she can't understand, explain or control. Despite the encounters Shain has all too frequently, she goes about her life as if these things don't exist. Until one day, on the anniversary of the disappearance, darkness falls over the small town bringing with it destruction, death, and an evil presence. Shain and her friends uncover the terrifying truth about the town's history. All the deceit, violence, and hypocrisy is revealed that tests the faith of them all.
