I was really looking forward to starting the Travis McGee series of books. However, I have to say I was disappointged with this first installment. I decided to continue with the next one however since I had already purchased the entire 20/21 book series. I have completely changed my opinion of Mr MacDonald with the reading of the next two books. The problem I had with The Deep Blue Good-By was I couldn't follow what story line he was trying to tell.
