THE DARK FIELDS, Glynn's first published novel, was adapted into a riveting 2011 feature film, LIMITLESS. The novel is compelling reading in terms of synthesizing actual medical research about drugs that enhance mental acuity. The protagonist's accelerating addiction to the mind altering properties of a wonder drug takes the reader on a mind bending ride of incredible highs and lows, both mentally & in terms of the accelerated abilities the hero enjoys, as he rides a roller coaster of what ends up amounting to a serious drug addiction & withdrawal problem.
But unlike the dramatically revised, upbeat ending of the film version, the novel's plot does not end well for the narrator/hero.

Thrilling and disturbing book!
This book is so well written that you really feel what the protagonist is feeling and experiencing. And that's not necessarily a good thing because he has an intense and surreal experience that you won't soon forget. This is soon to be a motion picture and I'll definitely be there to see if they did the book justice. Excellent techo-thriller! Highly recommended!
