I have only recently discovered the author - Christine Dwyer Hickey and love her books. Books that one cannot put down until finished! Her knowledge of life in Ireland, in particular Dublin, the history and struggle of so many people is spellbinding. The way she creates each character is superb and you feel as if you're there with them. This book is part of a trilogy. Highly recommended,
