Amid a host of pilots are Jeffrey Quill, Bob Stanford Tuck, Ginger Lacey, Adolf Galland, Johnnie Johnson, Babe Learoyd (a bomber VC), Freddie West (a 1914-18 VC) and Peter Townsend.
