Anything Anne Scott-James writes is always of interest to me and this book was not a disappointment in any way. We can all do a cottage garden in our plot of garden area and to know how the past cottage gardeners did their plant world is of immense interest. Anne is readable, believable and so well researched that I knew this was a book to order, keep and loan out to all serious gardeners.
