The subtitle reads: "Being the story of the Adentures of England known as the Hudson's Bay Company. New pages in the history of the Canadian Northwest and Western States." Several fold-out maps help illustrate the narrative. Author provides updates and deflects criticism of thge first volume issued in 1908 in the preface. The book includes recounts of Hudson's adventures to the new world, exploration by Radisson, Groseillers and others. 409 pages in the first volume, 415 in the second.
