Having met and Shown Dogs With Del way back when, I can tell you personally he has exceptional experience with the breed. And, He has a way with words that make things much more understandable and interesting. Although the pictures are not modern,per se 2000 and above, the dogs pictured are classics who have stood the test of time. The illustrations are as good today as they were then.Del still is involved in the breed, the poodle club of American and still occasionally gives seminars...I attended one a year or so ago..and learned much. I consider this to be THE reference for poodle breeders and show people or someone just beginning. Out of print, but still available.
