Well researched, it offers a thorough history of glass candy containers, interesting chapters on their manufacture, the companies & their background. Reproduced are some of the many salesman's catalog sheets as well as photos of actual molds. The toy containers are alphabetically indexed by subject matter - it seemed that anything & everything was inspirational for new designs.
