Used-Good. Good hardback in maroon half-leather. Undated, but probably c.1874/5, as published soon after Chatto & Windus succeeded John Camden Hotten in 1873. 'Many hundred' illustrations, some folding. marbled boards, end papers & page fore-edge. Pages clean, binding tight; leather a little worn on board corners; spine now very dark browne, & appears to have been re-glued at some time; gilt lettering & decoration a little dull.

Good. First collected edition. Two volume set: First Series, 1835-1843; Second Series, 1844-1853. Thick octavos. Illustrated by George Cruikshank. Both volumes with publisher's advertisements at the back dated 1871. Contemporary green publisher's cloth, gilt spines and centerpieces. Front hinges a little loose, volume one lacks the front free endpaper, one folding plate at the rear of volume two is torn but complete, else very good, clean and sound. A handsome set.
