Taking advantage of new technology and publishing tools, the Robrocks decided to publish his writings: the novels are each presented in their own book, and the essays, short stories, and poems are collected in this volume. They reflect his interest in several aspects of history: the US Air Corps in World War Two, the journals of travelers in the western US from 1825 to 1856, and the Plains Indian Wars of the 1860s. Many of his short stories and poems are likely based on autobiographical events.
