With no dust jacket. Hardcovers; no dustjackets. Four volume set. States "A new edition in four volumes" on the title page. 1905. Volume 1 is Fair; volumes 2-4 are G+ to VG-. Green cloth with bright gilt on the spines. The spine on V1 has a horizontal tear across the middle, and the lower have has separated along the rear spine edge (still attached at the front spine edge. Bumping an short tears at the spine extremities of each volume. Some wear at the corner tips. There is a sticker ghost on the rear board of V1, and some scratching to the front board of V4. Else the bindings are fairly clean with only a bit of light surface rubbing. The spine gilt is bright. The front flyleaf of V1 is detached, but present (with some edgewear to this detached page). There is a fairly attractive bookplate of a previous owner on the front pastedown of each volume. Some age-darkening to the page edges. Else the pages are clean. This is a large, heavy set; Priority and/or International may require shipping over and above standard costs.; 28D; 9" x 5-3/4"
