Dav1d, later).--The only vessels now belonging to this Church consist of a pewter Bowl and Plate. The bowl (see Llanstinan) is 8 in. in diam., and 2 in. high. It carries one mark which appears to be a swan's head within an oval stamp. The plate is in. in diameter and marked X sUPERFINE LONDON' HAJLD METAL. Llanychllwydog 1 (S. Dav1d, later).--There is at the present time no plate belonging to this parish. Llawhaden (S. A1dan).--An Elizabethan Chalice bearing the maker's mark only, viz. The bowl is of the form of an inverted truncated cone. It has the customary two bands of decorated strap-work, the upper one enclosing the usual woodbine foliage, a spray of which is carried above and below each of the three intersecting points, whilst within the lower band is the inscription "+ POCVLVM ECLESYE DE LANYEHADEN ." Under the bowl and also where the stem joins the base is a band of vertical reed moulding. Dividing the stem is a small narrow knop ornamented with intermittent lines and with fillet above and below. The Paten cover has disappeared. The dimensions of the Chalice are as follows: --height, 6 in.; diam. of bowl, 3J in.; depth, 3 in.; diam. of base, 3J in.; weight, 7 oz.--A Plate used as a Credence Paten, bearing the hall mark of the Britannia standard for 1713, the maker's mark not being discoverable.
